In una inedita finale con quattro giapponesi, un coreano e un britannico, è quest’ultimo a prevalere al termine della finale più combattuta e spettacolare di quest’anno.
Fino agli ultimi pochi secondi rimasti a Toby Roberts per cercare di arrivare in cima all’ultimo blocco di finale tutto è rimasto in bilico. Infatti un Lee perfetto fino al M3 aveva mancato il top del 4 e a Roberts erano rimasti pochi secondi per vincere o arrivare addirittura quarto, fuori dal podio. Quando sembrava ormai senza forze Toby ha fatto la magia, scalandolo in un modo completamente diverso e apparentemente impossibile, ma alla fine efficace. Ondra, attesissimo a Bressanone è apparso sfasato in semifinale, dove ha registrato il peggior risultato e nessun top. La squadra maschile italiana, più numerosa del solito grazie al vantaggio del paese ospitante, non ha per niente approfittato dell’occasione. In campo femminile meno spettacolo e pronostico rispettato con la Grossman superiore al resto del lotto. Una fantastica Seo dimostra che la conversione dalla corda al boulder è possibile con un eccellente secondo posto. Miriam Fogu, unica superstite italiana in semifinale, prende una manciata di zone, non abbastanza per non risultare ultima del round. I risultati completi qui

Until the last few seconds left to Toby Roberts to try to get to the top of the last block of the final, everything remained in the balance. In fact, a perfect Lee up to the M3 had missed the top 4 and Roberts had only a few seconds left to win or even finish fourth, off the podium. When he seemed exhausted Toby worked his magic, climbing it in a completely different and seemingly impossible, but ultimately effective way. Ondra, eagerly awaited in Bressanone, appeared out of phase in the semifinal, where he recorded the worst result and no top. The Italian men’s team, more numerous than usual thanks to the advantage of the host country, did not take advantage of the opportunity at all. The good debut of Sartirana (31st) did not match all the others (Vidi 43rd, Moroni 45th, Schenk 51st and Piccolruaz 70th). Full results here
