Ansa riporta dell’arrivo all’aeroporto di Teheran di Elnaz Rekabi in un modo che contraddice per molti versi le notizie riportate da tutti i giornali nella giornata di ieri.
Elnaz è arrivata da libera cittadina, accolta da una folla che ha inneggiato al suo gesto, che lei ha apparentemente smentito dichiarando di essere stata chiamata sul muro di gara prima del previsto, scordandosi del velo che avrebbe dovuto indossare. L’atleta si sarebbe anche scusata per le tensioni create al popolo iraniano.
Ricordiamo che molti giornali avevano riportato che il fratello era stato fermato a Teheran e usato come riscatto per il ritorno forzato di Elnaz in Iran.
L’IFSC dichiara: Oggi si è svolto a Seoul, in Corea del Sud, un incontro congiunto tra il Comitato olimpico internazionale (CIO), l’IFSC e il Comitato olimpico nazionale iraniano, durante il quale il CIO e l’IFSC hanno ricevuto una chiara assicurazione che la signora Rekabi non lo farà subirà le conseguenze e continuerà ad allenarsi e gareggiare.
Ansa reports on Elnaz Rekabi’s arrival at Tehran airport in a way that contradicts in many ways the news reported by all the newspapers yesterday.
Elnaz arrived as a free citizen, greeted by a crowd who praised her gesture, which she apparently denied by declaring that she was called to the competition wall earlier than expected, forgetting the veil she should have worn. The athlete also allegedly apologized for the tensions created among the Iranian people.
We recall that many newspapers had reported that his brother had been convicted in Tehran and used as a ransom for Elnaz’ forced return to Iran.
IFSC says: A joint meeting took place in Seoul, South Korea, today, between the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the IFSC, and the Iranian National Olympic Committee, during which the IOC and the IFSC received clear assurance that Ms Rekabi will not suffer any consequences and will continue to train and compete.
