Il massiccio della Montagne Sainte-Victoire non è certo il primo posto dove ti aspetteresti delle vie di grado 9. E’ la montagna di Aix en Provence, per intenderci, splendide placche principalmente abbattute di roccia grigia e perfetta. Ma complessivamente non estrema.
Ad eccezione di questa linea, liberata nel 2010 da Gerome Pouvreau e finora ripetuta solo dal fuoriclasse nizzardo Enzo Oddo. Ora la terza salita spetta a Loic Zehani, figlio d’arte (il padre era uno da 8c+) che approda quindi al grado in un luogo “anomalo” e molto diverso dalla Orgon nel quale Loic è cresciuto come climber. Da notare nel video lo spettacolare finale su fessurette verticali.
The Montagne Sainte-Victoire massif is certainly not the first place where you would expect grade 9 routes. It is the mountain of Aix en Provence, so to speak, splendid slabs mainly cut down of gray and perfect rock. But overall not extreme.
With the exception of this line, freed in 2010 by Gerome Pouvreau and so far only repeated by the champion from Nice Enzo Oddo. Now the third ascent belongs to Loic Zehani, son of art (his father was an 8c +) who therefore arrives at the grade in an “anomalous” place and very different from the Orgon in which Loic grew up as a climber. Note in the video the spectacular final on vertical cracks.
