Il regime iraniano distrugge la casa dei Rekabi

Il peggio doveva ancora venire: che tutto si fosse assorbito dopo le parole di Elnaz Rekabi, l’atleta iraniana che aveva dichiarato di avere perso il velo durante il campionato asiatico, era solo una speranza.

Il sito indipendente Iran Wire ha pubblicato pessime notizie a riguardo dell’attuale situazione della famiglia Rekabi, che è una famiglia di climbers essendo anche il fratello Davood un campione del nostro sport nel suo paese. Proprio il fratello era stato arrestato poche ore dopo l’accaduto a Seul, sede della gara internazionale, una sorta di ostaggio per garantire il ritorno in patria della sorella. Sembra anche che la Rekabi avesse dovuto presentare e depositare un assegno di 35.000 dollari a garanzia del suo ritorno dalla capitale coreana a fine gara. Il sito indipendente non si è limitato a diffondere queste notizie e a specificare che l’atleta si trovava in detenzione domiciliare presso l’abitazione dei genitori ma ha anche diffuso un video in cui si vede il fratello piangere e mostrare una casa demolita presumibilmente una proprietà della famiglia Rekabi.

The independent site Iran Wire has published bad news about the current situation of the Rekabi family, who are a family of climbers as her brother Davood is also a champion of our sport in their country. Just the brother had been arrested a few hours after the incident in Seoul, the site of the international competition, a sort of hostage to ensure the return of his sister. It also appears that Rekabi was required to present and deposit a check for $35,000 guaranteeing her return from the Korean capital after the race. The independent site did not limit itself to spreading these news and specifying that the athlete was in home detention at his parent’s home but also released a video in which his brother is seen crying and showing a demolished house presumably owned by the Rekabi family.
